Mount Pleasant Medical Associates is a comprehensive medical group, caring for patients of all ages. We focus on preventive medicine and health maintenance by providing wellness exams, routine and sports physicals, and patient education. We help our patients share in the responsibility of exercising good health practices for themselves and their families. We provide medical care for most conditions including, but not limited to, heart disease, diabetes, hypertension, and thyroid disease.

Nisha Vashishtha, MD
Dr. Nisha Vashishta is a graduate of Sparrow Family Practice Residency program. She has been serving the health needs of area residents since 2002, providing high quality and compassionate healthcare available through all stages of life from infants to seniors.
Dr Nisha is currently on active staff at the Mclaren Central Michigan Hospital in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. She is board certified in Family Practice and a member of American Academy of Family Practitioners. She also is a member of Michigan State Medical Society and AAPI. Dr Nisha has served as Chairman of family practice at MCM for past 9 years.
Dr Nisha Vashishta received her medical degree from Lady Hardinge Medical College, Delhi, India in 1989. She did her family practice residency at Genesys Regional Medical Center from 1999-2000 and then at Sparrow Hospital, Lansing, from 2000-2002.
Ashok Vashishta, MD
Dr. Ashok Vashishta is currently on active staff at the Mclaren Central Michigan Hospital in Mount Pleasant, MI. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and a member of American College of Physicians. He is also the Chief Medical Officer for Mclaren Central Michigan Hospital.
Dr. Ashok Vashishta has been practicing in the area for over 20 years. He is involved in the care of adults. He also admits and follows his patients in the hospital, and is actively involved in the rehabilitation of the patients at the local nursing homes.
Dr. Ashok Vashishta received his medical degree from Maulana Azad Medical College in Delhi, India. He did his internal medicine residency at Lincoln Medical Center in New York, affiliated with New York Medical College.
